Writing is a closed door activity, and it’s a bit hard to make the re-writting of a sentence or paragraph sound very exciting, especially when you’re hearing the same thing for the umpteenth time! Anyhow, here is a little update!
Hamely Tongue / Ulster Scots Poyams & Yarns
- I have a few Ulster Scots poems in the USCN journal that comes out later this year.
- “Tale fra tha life oo James Finlay Bruce” will be released in the run up to the 2021 Ulster Scots Language Week (November)
- I’ve also been working on a new Ulster Scots themed story. It’s set in a single family over a number of generations. The stories relate to some very odd events and is tied together by an number of poems.
- I’ve managed to write a few more poems – will post them online sometime soon, that is when I actually record them!
Children’s Stories.
- “Sled Down.” This is a Christmas story, and is finished, and should be published soon (hopefully).
- “George and the Elephant.” This is nearly finished – and hopefully should be out well before Christmas. It’s set on Christmas Day and is about a little boy called George who get’s a real elephant for Christmas.
Also
Additionally there are a few short stories but I’m not sure what to do with them. If they sit long enough they could just end up here as a PDF or something.
Audio Books
I’m still working at it!
